Everything below is a snapshot dated to the end of October 2026, and we will update it after Spotify Wrapped 2026 India in December.

Further down the same list are Badshah (~26M) and Yo Yo Honey Singh (~21M). Film music dominates. Lyricists like Irshad Kamil and Amitabh Bhattacharya rank high because Spotify credits them on huge soundtracks.

Top Spotify artists in India 2026 (India market chart)

On Spotify's weekly India chart for 23–29 October 2026, the #1 artist was Arijit Singh. The #1 song that week was "Alfaaz" by Hamza Malik and Zain Zohaib (MusicMetrics, from Spotify's official weekly charts). Other names that week's song chart leaned on included Banjaare, Anuv Jain, Sai Abhyankkar, Karan Aujla and Anirudh Ravichander (kworb India weekly). How to read Spotify numbers

Monthly listeners counts the unique people who played an artist in the last 28 days, and Spotify updates it roughly once a day. One fan streaming a song a hundred times still counts once. Streams count plays. Chart positions on charts.spotify.com come from streams in a given country and week. An artist can have huge global monthly listeners and still sit lower on India's weekly chart, and the reverse can happen too.
