The Yellow Diary are a Mumbai band who make big, emotional Hindi and Punjabi rock-pop, led by singer and lyricist Rajan Batra. For years they were known as a singles band: songs like "Marz", "Roz Roz" and "Sajni" travelled far without a full album behind them. That changed in November 2025, when they released their first full-length record. This guide lists every The Yellow Diary album and EP on Apple Music India, in order, with tracklists and dates, plus the soundtracks they appear on. For the band's history and members, read our The Yellow Diary band profile.
How we checked. All dates and track counts come from Apple Music India (iTunes catalogue, country IN), checked on 28 October 2026. Apple sometimes labels short releases as "Single" even when they have two or three songs; we say so where it matters. Only released music is covered.

- Aqda – 3 tracks (30 August 2024), listed by Apple as a single

The records, in order
Marz (26 April 2018, 3 tracks). The band's first EP, released through Sony Music India. Three songs: "Marz", "Kashmir" and "Afzai". "Marz" is still the song most people meet first: a slow-burning Hindi rock ballad with a huge chorus. Start with: "Marz".
Izafa (16 November 2018, 3 tracks). A second short EP, also on Sony, released the same year. It has "Tere Jeya Hor Disda", "Dheere Se" and "Buniyaad". The Punjabi "Tere Jeya Hor Disda" shows a softer, folkier side, while "Buniyaad" became a fan favourite. Start with: "Buniyaad".
Singles on Sony (2020–2023). Between the EPs and the album, the band released a run of singles: "Rab Raakha" (28 January 2020), "Dhoondti Firaan" with Akasa (9 April 2020), "Roz Roz" with Shilpa Rao (4 February 2021), "Udaan" (16 December 2021), "Sajni" (27 January 2022) and "Mujhe Mere Naam Se" (20 April 2023). "Roz Roz" grew so popular that a "Trending Version" came out on 1 June 2023. Read more in our best Indian indie songs of 2021 list.
Mann (1 September 2023, 3 tracks). Apple calls it a single, but it is a small three-song set: "Mann", "Sada" and "Kaun Mera". It was the last Yellow Diary release on Sony Music India. Start with: "Mann".
Kahe Kahe, Chhadd Jaave and Aqda (2024). In 2024 the band moved to the label first.wav and released three linked singles. "Kahe Kahe" came out on 14 June 2024, "Chhadd Jaave" on 19 July 2024 (bundled with "Kahe Kahe"), and Aqda on 30 August 2024, which collects "Aqda", "Chhadd Jaave" and "Kahe Kahe" in one 3-track release. Start with: "Aqda".
In Case We Forget (28 November 2025, 9 tracks). The Yellow Diary's first full album, released through first.wav, about ten years after the band began. Lead single "Yun Hi Kahin" arrived on 7 November 2025, three weeks before the album. The full tracklist is "Sheher", "Yours Always, Dad", "Yun Hi Kahin", "Chasing", "Dastoor", "Tere Siva Re", "Dil Challeya Ve", "Saaye" and a bonus track, "Tham". It is a bigger, more patient record than the early EPs, with room for quieter songs alongside the anthems. Start with: "Yun Hi Kahin", then "Yours Always, Dad".
Soundtracks
The band also appear on two series soundtracks on Apple Music India. These are shared, multi-artist records, so we do not count them as Yellow Diary albums:
- Jugaadistan (Original Series Soundtrack), 25 February 2022, 14 tracks, shared with Indian Ocean, Akasa and others.
- Maja Ma (Original Series Soundtrack), 4 October 2022, 7 tracks. It includes "Buniyaad 2.0", a new take on the Izafa song.
How the sound changed
The two 2018 EPs are compact and direct, built for one big chorus each. The Sony singles from 2020 to 2023 brought in guest voices like Akasa and Shilpa Rao and pushed the band towards a wider audience. The first.wav years (2024 onward) sound more personal, and In Case We Forget finally gives the songs space to breathe across a full record.
