Skrat are a Chennai rock band who play loud, fast and with a sense of humour: riff-led garage and hard rock with big choruses and short songs. Over a little more than a decade they have put out three albums and an EP. This guide covers every Skrat record you can stream on Apple Music India today, in order, with the songs to start with.
How we checked. Every date and track count below comes from Apple Music India (iTunes catalogue, country IN), checked on 28 October 2026, including the date of each song. Only released music is covered. Apple also lists several other acts called "Skrat" (including a Spanish-language rapper, Skrat CNC); only the Chennai band's records are included here.
Quick answer: Skrat albums in order
- Bring Out The Guns (5 February 2013, 10 tracks)
- The Queen (24 October 2014, 10 tracks)
- Bison (29 September 2017, 10 tracks)
- Circus Act EP (18 January 2025, 5 tracks)
Bring Out The Guns (2013)
Released: 5 February 2013 on Apple Music India. Tracks: 10, all dated the same day.
The debut sets out what Skrat do: short, punchy rock songs with a swagger. "Smoke a Cigar" and "Samurai Badass" are as blunt as their titles, "Tin Can Man" and "Big Bad Bombs" lean on heavy, bluesy riffs, and "The Spare Blues" slows things down. The album ends on "In the Rain", which features Chennai singer Shakthisree Gopalan and shows a softer side of the band.
The track list: "Smoke a Cigar", "Tin Can Man", "S.O.S", "Sleeping with the Enemy", "Samurai Badass", "Big Bad Bombs", "Shake It Off", "The Spare Blues", "High" and "In the Rain".
Start with: "Samurai Badass", then "In the Rain".
The Queen (2014)
Released: 24 October 2014. Tracks: 10, all dated 24 October 2014. (Apple India lists the album more than once; one copy is dated 25 October, with the same ten songs.)
The Queen is tighter and more confident. The opener "Machete" is the fastest thing the band had recorded, and the title track has the kind of chorus that works in a club gig and a festival field alike. "Choke & Broke", "Love Rider" and "Bang Bang Bang" keep the pace up; "Favourite Song" is the closest Skrat come to a straight pop-rock tune. The record closes with "Gun Slinger II", a nod back to the band's love of Western imagery.
Full track list: "Machete", "The Queen", "Choke & Broke", "Love Rider", "Revolution", "Bang Bang Bang", "Favourite Song", "Full Monty", "Stomp" and "Gun Slinger II".
Start with: "The Queen", then "Machete".
Bison (2017)
Released: 29 September 2017. Tracks: 10, all dated the same day.
Bison is the band's heaviest and most varied album. "Chaos" and "Raptor" open with thick, driving riffs; "Fireworks" and "Wake Up" are built for crowds; "Yipikaye" keeps the band's sense of fun. The second half gets darker and slower with "Red Ox Hide", "Siren" and "Crew", before the title track closes the record.
Full track list: "Chaos", "Raptor", "Fireworks", "Wake Up", "Yipikaye", "Vineyard", "Red Ox Hide", "Siren", "Crew" and "Bison".
Start with: "Fireworks", then "Bison".

Circus Act EP (2025)
Released: 18 January 2025. Tracks: 5, all dated the same day.
After a long gap between records, Skrat came back with a short, sharp EP. "Flashbang" opens at full speed, "Slingscot" and the title track keep the band's big-riff sound, and "Radicade" and "X Human" push into slightly stranger territory. At five songs it is a quick listen, and a good sign that the band still sound like themselves.
Track list: "Flashbang", "Slingscot", "Circus Act", "Radicade" and "X Human".
Start with: "Circus Act".
Other Skrat songs on Apple
- Farhan Akhtar, Vishal Dadlani & Skrat – "Mutan Macha" (16 April 2015, single). A one-off collaboration listed on Apple India as "Mutant Macha - Single"; the song itself is titled "Mutan Macha".
Which Skrat album should you start with?
- For the classic Skrat sound: The Queen. It is the most focused of the three albums.
- For the heaviest record: Bison.
- For where it began: Bring Out The Guns, especially "In the Rain".
- For the most recent music: the Circus Act EP.
