Kamakshi Khanna is a Delhi singer-songwriter who writes in English and Hindi. Her voice is soft and clear, and her songs are about small, private moments. She has released steadily for more than a decade: an EP in 2014, an album in 2017, then a long run of singles, collaborations and an EP about a break-up. This guide goes through it in order.
Titles, dates, track counts and tracklists come from Apple Music India (artist id 957128400), checked on 28 October 2026. We don't quote stream counts, and we stick to what is on the record.

Much Mellow (2014)
A four-song debut that does what the title says:
- Carry Me Home
- Where Did You Go?
- Nobody Else but Me
- Shackles
All English, guitar-led and unhurried. "Where Did You Go?" is the longest and the best place to start.
Cakewalk (2017)
Her only full-length album so far. Seven tracks:
- I'm in My Own Way
- Cakewalk
- Don't Hide
- I Tried
- Little
- Hold Your Horses
- Moved by Stillness
It's mostly English and leans toward jazz-pop. "Don't Hide" runs over six minutes and is the album's centre; the title track is the most immediate. Play it in full.
The Hindi turn: Qareeb (2020) onward
"Qareeb", released in October 2020, is where her Hindi writing came into focus. Most of what followed moved between the two languages.
Collaborations (2020–2023)
Much of her catalogue in these years is shared with other artists:
- "Letters To Myself" with Nush Lewis (2020)
- "Duur" with OAFF (2021)
- "Taare" with Nishu (2021), plus an acoustic version
- "Roohani Si" with Shubham Kabra (2021)
- "Chhan Chhan Chhan" with Parekh & Singh (2022), written for the series Kaun Banegi Shikharwati
- "Swimming" with Sanjeeta Bhattacharya (2022) — two of the scene's gentlest voices on one song
- "Naya" with Sameer Rahat and Dropped Out (2023)
- "Titli" with Pranay Parti (2023)
- "Dil Yeh Nadaan Hai" with somanshu and Kanishk Seth (2023)
She is also credited on the soundtrack of Modern Love (Mumbai) (2022), alongside Nikhil D'Souza, Ram Sampath, Shankar Ehsaan Loy, Vishal Bhardwaj and others.
Breathe (2023)
A solo single from January 2023, between the collaborations.
Heartbreak 2020 (2024)
Her most direct record. Four short songs, about twelve minutes:
- I Blew It!
- Love Is Not A Fucking Game
- Tourist
- Heartbreak 2020
Two of the four came out as singles first, in February and May 2024. The writing is wry and blunt in a way the early records weren't. If you only know Much Mellow, this is the record that will surprise you.
Live sessions (2024–2025)
Apple carries two short live sets: Apple Music Sessions: Kamakshi Khanna (November 2024) and Kamakshi Khanna (Home Session) (March 2025). Both are good ways to hear the voice without production.
Ankahi and Sabar (2025)
Two Hindi solo singles, from April and August 2025. "Sabar" is the most recent solo release on the catalogue.
Recent collaborations (2026)
- "alvida" with Raghav & Arjun and Anubha Kaul (February 2026)
- "Aage Peeche" with Raghav Meattle and Bulli Bainbridge (March 2026)
- "Rooh" with Dirty Jays (May 2026)
Where to start
- First listen: "Qareeb" → "Swimming" → "I Blew It!".
- Album listener: Cakewalk, then Heartbreak 2020.
- The early sound: Much Mellow.
