Kryptos is a heavy metal band from Bengaluru, Karnataka, playing a mix of 1980s heavy metal, NWOBHM and thrash, with influences including Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Thin Lizzy, Coroner and Kreator. They have released seven studio albums and toured Europe and Asia.

Guitarist Nolan Lewis and bassist Ganesh Krishnaswamy formed the band in Bengaluru in 1998. The debut album Spiral Ascent (2004) got underground attention in India, Europe and South America.

In 2006 Kryptos signed with California's Old School Metal Records. Lewis took over lead vocals, Rohit Chaturvedi joined on lead guitar and Jayawant Tewari on bass, with Ryan Colaco on drums. The Ark of Gemini followed in 2008, and in 2009 the band opened for Iron Maiden at Rock 'N India at Bengaluru's Palace Grounds.

Wikipedia says Kryptos was the first Indian metal band to complete a European tour (2010). The Coils of Apollyon came out in 2012, the band signed with Germany's AFM Records, and in 2013 they became the first Indian heavy metal band to play Wacken Open Air. They played Wacken again in 2017.

Burn Up the Night (2016), Afterburner (2019) and Force of Danger (2021) followed. Decimator (2024) was made with producer Jamie Elton, with Robin Utbult recording bass. The band parted ways with drummer Vijit Singh in 2025. Abbas Razvi (bass) and Vishnu Reddy (drums) joined in 2026.
