Kraken is a New Delhi rock band whose second record, Club Namaste, Rolling Stone India scheduled for 9 September 2022 as the follow-up to the 2017 debut EP Lush. That comeback story says the newer songs are cleaner and more melodic than the math-rock and post-hardcore energy of Lush, with guitarist-producer Moses Koul and vocalist Vipul Verma, who raps and sings. A separate Rolling Stone India crowdfunding piece introduces drummer Suyash Gabriel and bassist Divij Kapoor beside keyboardist Reuben Das and Verma as the lineup for the record after Lush.
The Indian Express, writing about the Khan Market Gang video from Club Namaste, lists the same five: Vipul Verma (vocals), Moses Koul (guitar), Reuben Das (keyboard), Divij Kapoor (bass), and Suyash Gabriel (drums). It says work on the EP began around 2019 after a crowdfund and describes a turn toward what the band called bhangra rock, away from Lush. Apple Music’s Club Namaste note calls the record a love letter to Delhi after a lineup shuffle, and it contrasts Lush’s outward, anime-tilted image with hyperlocal lyrics from Verma. Discography uses those published descriptions and does not invent a formation year; public sources here support a 2010s origin and a 2017 debut EP, so formed stays 2010s. Gabriel’s row uses 2017 because the crowdfunding story ties him to the post-Lush lineup.
Name collision is the main guard. Wave 3 locks only id 1447811731, proved by Club Namaste, Khan Market Gang, and Lush. Colombian artist id 5904048 and dubstep clones are wrong and must not be merged. No AggregateRating is stored.
Members[] is the five-piece Indian Express and Rolling Stone India document for Club Namaste. Use slug kraken only when this Delhi band is primary. A global “Kraken” name search that lands on another genre is not this facet. Wave 3 leaves hero covers empty. Sources are Rolling Stone India, The Indian Express, and Apple.
Human intro text remains when enrich prepends titles. Editors should keep display name Kraken and the Delhi rock genres so the page is not silently retagged as dubstep or as a Latin American metal act with the same word.
Operationally, Discography treats Kraken as an active Delhi rock band on id 1447811731, with empty Wave 3 cover art. If enrich returns a catalog without Club Namaste or Lush, operators re-check the id instead of accepting a more popular namesake. Intro length supports the artists.xml gate together with that enrich.
