Short answer: You can submit a single, EP or album to Discography for review consideration, free, through the form at discography.in/submit. Discography is an independent music magazine that covers Indian independent artists. If that's you — whether you're in Mumbai, Shillong, London or Toronto — read what we cover below, then send your release through the form.

Who should submit
Discography covers Indian independent artists: musicians releasing outside the major film-music system, whether self-released, on an independent label or distributed by a larger company. That's the scope set out in our editorial policy.
If you're searching "submit music for review" from anywhere in the world and your project is part of Indian independent music, this is the right place. If it isn't, Discography probably isn't the right outlet for that release — we'd rather tell you that up front than waste your time.
It's free — and coverage is never for sale
Submitting is free. We never charge for coverage. We don't publish sponsored reviews, paid features or "featured artist" placements, and no label, PR agency or artist has a say in what we write. Anyone asking you to pay for a Discography review is not from us.
Sending us a release doesn't guarantee coverage, and it never guarantees a positive review. A review is the editor's honest opinion, clearly labelled as a review.
Before you submit
- Send music that is released, or has a confirmed release date.
- One release per submission.
- Use the form. We don't accept submissions by DM.
What to include in the form
- Artist name
- City
- Release title
- Streaming or private link
- Release date
- Label (or independent)
- Full credits
- 2–3 lines about the release
- Press photo and artwork links
What happens next
We can't review everything. If we cover your release, we'll email you the link. Please share it, and link it from your EPK and website.
Discography doesn't rely on submissions alone: new-release coverage also comes from artists featured on Spotify's RADAR India and Indie India playlists, and from the editor's own listening. We also publish artist profiles, scene analysis and longer pieces on the history of Indian independent music.
If we feature you
Our press kit has a "Featured on Discography" badge (SVG and PNG) you can add to your website, EPK, Linktree or press page, linked to your article. Every published article also has a branded social card you can download or embed.
How to pitch any editor (so they actually listen)
General advice, not Discography rules:
- Lead with the music. Put the streaming or private link first; editors decide in the first 30 seconds of listening.
- Pitch before release day when you can. A confirmed date gives a writer time to listen properly.
- Make the 2–3 lines specific. Say what the release is and what makes it different — not that it's "unique" or "for fans of everyone".
- Get credits right. Producer, mix, master, featured players. Writers check facts; wrong credits slow everything down.
- Send real assets. A usable press photo and the artwork, linked, not buried in a zip.
- Read the outlet first. Pitch genres and artists the publication actually covers.
- Never pay for a review. Reputable editorial outlets don't charge for coverage.
