Sid Sriram (Sidharth Sriram), born 19 May 1990 in Chennai, is an Indian-American Carnatic musician, producer, and playback singer who also writes R&B-leaning independent material. He moved to the United States as an infant, grew up in Fremont, California, and trained in Carnatic music with his mother Latha Sriram while absorbing R&B listening habits in parallel—an early bilingual musical education that later defined his timbre in South Indian cinema.

After Mission San Jose High School (2008) he studied at Berklee College of Music. Playback work across Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Hindi, Marathi, and English industries made him one of the most searched South Indian male voices of the 2010s and 2020s, while independent releases and live sets kept a non-film identity visible.

He frequently collaborates with sister Pallavi Sriram, a Bharatanatyam dancer, connecting concert presentation to classical movement vocabulary. For Discography’s indie-facing remit, Sid Sriram matters both as a playback giant with huge search demand and as an artist with self-directed R&B/Carnatic hybrid projects that sit beside soundtrack hits on Apple Music.

The locked Apple artist id matches the primary Sid Sriram storefront profile. This page does not invent chart positions; it records verified biography, listen links, and enriched release rows. Cover art remains unset in Wave 1.

Articles that only list him among many playback singers should not be retagged under single-select rules. Dedicated reviews or profiles can credit sid-sriram when he is the primary subject.

Sid Sriram’s Berklee training, Carnatic childhood practice, and multi-language playback career explain why search demand is enormous even for an indie magazine directory. Discography’s angle is not to mirror every film credit listicle; it is to host a factual artist hub with Apple enrich, verified biography, and room for independent/R&B-leaning releases beside cinema work. Chennai birth and California upbringing are both part of the public record. Sister collaborations belong as context, not as duplicate member facets. Wave 1 ships ink hero only.
