Nucleya is the stage name of Udyan Sagar, an electronic music producer and DJ born in Agra in 1979 and associated with Ahmedabad. In 1998 he co-founded the group Bandish Projekt with Mayur Narvekar and Mehirr Nath Choppra. He left in 2007 after about a decade with the group and started again as Nucleya. Wikipedia notes that this solo career got off to a slow start.

He found his sound by drawing on South Indian film music and the brass and percussion of Indian street bands, and released his first EP, Koocha Monster, in 2013. In 2015 he launched his debut album, Bass Rani, from a Ganpati immersion procession on the streets of Mumbai, and followed it with Raja Baja in 2016. Tota Myna, released in 2019, featured Rashmeet Kaur, Raftaar, Anirudh Ravichander and Shruti Haasan. He hosted the Bacardi House Party Sessions with AIB in 2017 and was a judge on the reality shows The Remix and MTV Hustle. Later releases include the EPs Baaraat and Chamkillah and the album Diggi Bumba in 2026.
