Kavita Seth is a singer born in 1970 in Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh. She is best known for her playback singing in Hindi films and for performing ghazals and Sufi music, and she leads the Sufi ensemble Karwaan Group. Her main focus is Sufi singing, though she also performs geet, ghazals and folk songs, and she has given concerts in London, Birmingham, Scotland, Berlin, Oslo and Stockholm as well as across India.
She has won the Filmfare Award for Best Female Playback Singer twice. The first was in 2010 for Iktara from Wake Up Sid, which also won her a Star Screen Award. The second was in 2023 for Rangisari from Jugjugg Jeeyo. Her other releases include singles such as Saacha Sahib, Aatish Mein and Tera Mangal, as well as Bandhu 2.0 from Cocktail 2 and the EP Dil Safar, both in 2026. She is the mother of the musicians Kavish Seth and Kanishk Seth.
