Ditty is the stage name of Aditi Veena, an Indian singer-songwriter and ecologist. Wikipedia identifies her with debut album Poetry Ceylon in 2019 and a later EP, Skins, in February 2024, and points at press that ties her writing to nature. Rolling Stone India’s album interview says she grew up in New Delhi, moved to Sri Lanka in 2014, worked there as a conservation architect, and shaped Poetry Ceylon as an account of that time, issued via Pagal Haina, with nature recordings of waves, leaves, and birds running through the record.
That Rolling Stone India piece names the bedroom-and-friends recording circle: Dhruv Bhola arranging, Shantanu Pandit recording, Mathias Durand mixing, François Lê Xuân mastering, Kartik Pillai on some drums, and Nikhil Vasudevan playing drums. Songs it discusses include Eulogy For A Sparrow, Girl On An Island, Food City, and Under The Sun. The Hindu’s conversation on the same album says Mumblings, four years earlier, was her first songwriting EP, that Poetry Ceylon was conceived as one journey, and that most of it was first recorded in her bedroom by Shantanu Pandit. A RadioandMusic report on Mumblings describes a storybook edition built around four songs about men in her life, including Daddy’s Girl, after an earlier Ditty & Mark project.
Collision risk is serious. Wave 3 locks only Singer/Songwriter id 1459874752, proved by Mumblings and Poetry Ceylon. Children’s id 415101355 and Dance id 1659688453 are the wrong-artist guards and stay out of sameAs. Enrich must not follow a higher-follower Ditty in another genre.
Members[] is empty. She is a solo facet even when a live band or the old duo is mentioned. Slug ditty is for stories primarily about Aditi Veena’s Ditty catalog. Nature-compilation roundups that only sample one song stay mention-only under single-select rules.
Wave 3 leaves hero covers empty. Sources are Wikipedia, Rolling Stone India, The Hindu, and Apple Music. This intro is not replaced by enrich. No AggregateRating and no discography.in sameAs ship with the facet.
Operationally, Discography files Ditty as the New Delhi-raised songwriter of Mumblings and Poetry Ceylon on locked id 1459874752, with later work such as Skins cited from Wikipedia rather than invented. Empty cover art is deliberate. Operators who see a children’s or dance Ditty id should skip it and keep this singer-songwriter page.
