BLOT! is a New Delhi electronic duo. Rolling Stone India’s artist profile expands the name as Basic Love Of Things and lists Gaurav Malaker (DJ and producer) and Avinash Kumar (designer and visual artist), formed in 2007, playing techno, tech-house, nu-disco, and experimental electronic music with an audio-visual club show. The same profile says they curated an experimental stage at Sunburn Goa in 2010 and 2011 and played Berlin rooms including Tresor and Bar25, Berlin Music Week in 2010, and Geneva’s Electron Festival in 2011, with debut album SNAFU in 2012 and a 3D visual tour. A Rolling Stone India album story quotes Malaker on Snafu and names vocal collaborators Vasundhara, Suryakant Sawhney, and Mandeep Sethi. One sentence in that album piece spells the acronym “Basic Love Of The Things”; the artist profile omits “The.” This page uses the profile wording and does not treat the extra word as a second act.
India Today’s May 2017 report places BLOT! on Boiler Room x Budweiser in Delhi at Antisocial with Roger Sanchez, Josey Rebelle, and Abhi Meer, which is the live proof the Wave 3 id note cites alongside the catalog title A Desire of Suitors. This intro does not invent a tracklist for that later title. Display name on the facet is BLOT!, matching the locked roster, even though the Apple path segment is blot.
Apple Music Electronic id 1457871137 is the only enrich target. Reggae and indie acts named Blot are the wrong-artist guards and must not be merged. No AggregateRating is created. Members[] lists Malaker and Kumar as the duo Rolling Stone India describes; visual work is part of the act, so Kumar is not dropped just because a DJ mix is audio-only.
Use slug blot when BLOT! is primary. A Boiler Room Delhi roundup that is mostly about the international headliners stays mention-only unless retagged. Wave 3 leaves hero covers empty. Sources are Rolling Stone India, India Today, and Apple. Human intro text is not overwritten by enrich.
Editors should keep the exclamation in the display name so the Delhi electronic duo is not normalized into a one-word reggae search. Enrich still keys off numeric id 1457871137.
Operationally, Discography treats BLOT! as an active Delhi electronic duo formed in 2007, locked to that id, with empty Wave 3 cover art. Intro word count supports artists.xml inclusion together with enrich, without a hand-built fake discography or an unlicensed press photo used as a hero.
