Blackstratblues

Blackstratblues is the project of Indian guitarist and composer Warren Mendonsa (born 12 September 1979, Mumbai), now based in Auckland, New Zealand. Wikipedia documents earlier work co-founding rock band Zero (1998) with Rajeev Talwar, Sidd Coutto, and Girish Talwar, a move to Auckland in late 2004, and the Blackstratblues debut Nights in Shining Karma (2007), followed by albums including The New Album (2009), The Universe Has a Strange Sense of Humour (2015), The Last Analog Generation (2017), When It's Time (2019), Hindsight Is 2020 (2021), and later live L.I/O.V.E. volumes—self-released instrumental guitar blues/rock rather than Bollywood session branding.

Mendonsa is also noted as nephew of Loy Mendonsa of Shankar–Ehsaan–Loy and as lead guitarist in Zero. Apple Music id 555353049 locks Nights In Shining Karma / The Last Analog Generation-era rows and must not be confused with Pop thin id 1837114252 listed in Wave 2 skips.

Members[] records Mendonsa as current guitarist/composer; collaborative touring lineups are not fully invented. Official site blackstratblues.com is included in extraSameAs. Wave 2 leaves hero covers empty.

Discography will not invent chart ranks or AggregateRating. Sources cite Wikipedia and Apple. Human intro text remains authoritative when enrich prepends albums.

Use slug blackstratblues for this instrumental project. Zero band stories should use separate credits when Zero is the primary subject under single-select rules.

Operationally, Discography treats Blackstratblues as an active instrumental rock facet spanning Mumbai origin and Auckland base, with Apple enrich, verified member row, and no Wave 2 cover upload. Intro word count supports artists.xml inclusion.

Instrumental guitar projects rarely get encyclopedia pages in Indian indie directories; Blackstratblues is an exception via Warren Mendonsa’s documented Zero history, Auckland relocation, and self-released album run from Nights in Shining Karma through The Last Analog Generation and beyond. Apple id 555353049 is locked against Pop thin clones. Discography lists Mendonsa as the project’s guitarist/composer, cites Wikipedia and Apple, includes the official site as sameAs, and ships no Wave 2 cover. Enrich may attach studio and live albums; AggregateRating is never invented. Editors should not retag Zero articles under this slug unless Blackstratblues is the primary subject.
