All The Fat Children: I Can Fly, 13 Years On

India’s independent music magazine
All The Fat Children, often shortened to ATFC, is an alternative rock band from Bengaluru formed in June 2008. It started as a college band at Christ University, where the founding members met as students. Eben Johnson has explained the name as a joke about the members being overweight when they started, which he said shaped much of their early material.
The band has played in Bengaluru alongside Motherjane and Pentagram, and Wikipedia credits it with more than 200 shows and around 30 original songs. Its first single, I Can Fly, came with a video produced by Qyuki, the platform backed by A.R. Rahman and Shekhar Kapur. A second single, Somebody Else, followed in 2015 with a self-produced video shot in a warehouse in under a day. That video aired on VH1 and Pepsi MTV Indies, and Rolling Stone India later included the song in one of its lists. The members named in the sources are Eben Johnson, Vickram Kiran and Sachin Savio Dane, with Samuel Santosh Wesley listed as a former member. Discography.in has revisited I Can Fly in a feature.
