Euphoria were India's first big Hindi rock band. Led by singer and doctor Palash Sen, the Delhi band turned indipop into stadium sing-alongs in the late 1990s, and they are still releasing music today. This guide picks the best Euphoria songs to play, in order of release, from "Maaeri" and "Dhoom Pichuck" to the 2026 album DHOOMSDAY.

How we checked. Every date below is the song's own date on Apple Music India (iTunes catalogue, country IN), checked on 28 October 2026. On Apple, most of the band's music is credited to "Palash Sen & Euphoria" or "Euphoria & Palash Sen". Older albums carry the dates Apple shows today, which can be rounded to the first day of a month or year. Only released music is covered. For the records themselves, see our Euphoria albums guide.

The 20 songs, in order

Dhoom (dated 1 October 1998)

1. "Dhoom Pichuck" (feat. Shubha Mudgal). The song that made Euphoria. A Hindi rock anthem with a famous video, and still the one crowds shout for.

2. "Sha Na Na". The album's opener: bright, bouncy and very 1998.

3. "Aamne Saamne". A love song with a big, easy chorus.

4. "Maa". One of the band's most-loved songs from the debut.

5. "Dilli". Named for the band's home city, Delhi.

6. "Hind Rock N Roll". The title says it: rock and roll, sung in Hindi.

Phir Dhoom (dated 1 January 2000)

7. "Maaeri". Euphoria's best-known song: a gentle, aching song of love and longing that became a late-90s indipop classic. Apple dates this album 1 January 2000. See 90s indipop songs.

8. "Phir Dhoom (Kaise Bhoolegi Mera Naam)". The title song, loud and confident.

9. "Mujhse Kaha Na Gaya". A soft ballad; the band also released an unplugged version as a single in 2020.

10. "Satyameva Jayate". The title is India's national motto.

11. "Aasaan". A deeper cut from the album.

12. "Pyaar Hi Thha". A love song from later in the album.

ITEM (album dated 11 October 2011)

13. "Kabootar" (11 October 2011). One of the best-known songs from the band's later period.

14. "C U Later" (11 October 2011). Also released as a stand-alone single (dated 2012).

15. "Item". The title song. Apple dates most ITEM songs to 1 January 2011, and "Kabootar" and "C U Later" to 11 October 2011.

Singles

16. "Walk On" (11 April 2014). An English-language single, credited simply to Euphoria.

17. "Halla Bol" (21 June 2016). A stand-alone rock single.

18. "Alvida" (25 April 2018). A stand-alone single.

19. "Iktarfa" (30 August 2018). One of the best of the band's singles run.

Sale (14 September 2021) and DHOOMSDAY (19 August 2026)

20. "Saajna" (feat. Dino James) (14 September 2021). From Sale: the band with a younger rapper, and a fresh take on the Euphoria sound.

Bonus from DHOOMSDAY (19 August 2026): "Dhoomsday", the title song of the band's newest album, and "Aapki Duaa", with KK. The album also has guests such as Shalmali Kholgade ("Tumse Mohabbat Hai") and Akriti Kakar ("Jobaab Dao").

More Euphoria songs worth a listen

  • "Tum" and "Body Love" (Dhoom, 1998).
  • "Gham E Rooh" and "Aao Na" (Phir Dhoom, 2000).
  • "Mere Dost Mere Bhai" and "Akela" (ITEM, 2011).
  • "Jiya Jaye Na" with Shreya Ghoshal (19 September 2017).
  • "Ladaaii" (17 August 2020) and "Vo Pyaar Na Thha" (9 December 2025).
  • "Sale", "Baavra" (feat. Kyna Sen) and "Kesariya Baalmaa" (Sale, 2021).

What is left out

  • Devotional and seasonal singles, such as the band's hymns and festival songs.
  • Palash Sen's film soundtrack work, which is credited separately.
  • Remixes, re-releases and duplicate listings. Apple shows Dhoom twice, once with a 1988 date that is clearly wrong; we use the 1998 date.
  • An eleven-track 2005 album listed under "Euphoria" on Apple, whose credits do not match the Palash Sen line-up clearly. We leave it out until it is confirmed.

How to start

If you are new to the band, play "Dhoom Pichuck", "Maaeri", "Maa" and "Mujhse Kaha Na Gaya" first: together they show both sides of Euphoria, the party band and the ballad band. Then jump to "Iktarfa" and "Saajna" to hear how the sound changed. For the wider era, see our guide to 90s indipop artists and legends and the 90s Indian rock bands.
